Detectives with the Benton Police Department is requesting the assistance of citizens to help identify a suspect related to property stolen from a vehicle. The suspect in the picture allegedly attempted to cash a check at a bank in Sherwood on Tuesday, March 22 using an identification card and bank card reported stolen from Benton.
At approximately 7:03 a.m. Thursday, March 17 residents on Mount Vernon Drive reported that three vehicles were broken into and items were stolen from them.

At approximately 11:19 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, officers with the Benton Police Department arrested two people for an alleged residential burglary. A resident on Ashley Street notified dispatch that two people were seen breaking into a neighbor’s home.
