A stolen vehicle was recovered, bags of suspected marijuana and a suspect was taken into custody during a traffic stop. On 1/26/2015 at approximately 11:55 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle on the I-30 south service road for no license plate lights and for failure to stop at a stop sign.

The Benton Police Department has proudly joined forces with the Arkansas Attorney General's Office to combat prescription drug abuse in the state.

The victim told officers that he parked a 2003 Ford F150 in the parking lot with the doors unlocked at 6:15 p.m. and left the keys in the floorboard before entering the store.
