On 6/17/14, at approximately 12:28 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the Henry Street access to the Saline River on report of a possible drowning. Upon their arrival they made contact with people there who advised that a male subject who was swimming had gone underwater and not resurfaced.
The Benton Police Department, in conjunction with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission and Golden ‘K’ Kiwanis, will be hosting a FREE fishing derby in June. The “Hooked on Fishing” fishing derby will be held on June 18th, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sunset Lake in Benton.

On 6/15/14, at approximately 4:48 AM, Benton Police Officers responded to Tractor Supply (17318 I-30) on report of a business alarm. Upon their arrival, officers observed a U-Haul truck backed up to the rear of the building that had merchandise in it from the business.
